Yes Ma'm
We missed the deadlines for other ABSN programs,
We missed them because at the very last minute( essays written and applications filled) Colin changed gears. He no longer wanted to go to Physician assistant school.
The only ABSN program open that we were interested in was Duke University.
We crossed our fingers and said our prayers as we submitted a single application.
Colin bought a suit when he got an interview. (he looked damn sexy)
We both were thrilled when he was accepted.
Our Little family is going to be packing up and heading South.
The program is only 16 months but upon completion nearly 1/2 of the credits need for an Family Nurse Practitioner will be fulfilled, or he could apply the credits for a CRNA or DNP or... ect ect.
What I am really saying is that we ware going to be in North Carolina for about 5 years.
I think my little girls might develop a southern drawl.
I am so excited for a good change, and a little scared of the bugs.
Any advice on how to move 4 people and a 2 bedroom apartment across the country?

Congrats! That is so exciting! I'm glad you are more adventurous than I...I'm such a home body that I'm scared when we go away to grad school. I'm hoping we stay in state at least. Good luck!
That is so great! Congratulations! I'll sure miss you guys though. As for moving advice, I'd say be as organized as you can be. Color code your boxes to the rooms they'll be going in. :) Good luck!
I am so excited for you guys! I didn't know your hubby is going to be a nurse practitioner (sp). That's what my hubby wants to do!
My friend moved her family of 3 from California to Oregon in a semi. Don't know how expensive it is...
I thought I commented on this... ? I guess not!
CONGRATS!! That is SO exciting! What part of NC are you moving to?
As for the moving bit.. ugh. Good luck. Coming from our point of view, where we sold nearly EVERYTHING in attempt to save on moving cost (no moving truck for us) it hasn't been worth it. The mattress/ couches/ tv/ etc... are SO expensive to try and re-buy when you get there.
I say just bit the price and get a moving truck or company even.
Congrats! I'm so excited for you! I'd love a southern drawl :) Let me know what I can do to help! I'd love to have your girls come over and play while you pack. Packing up Alethia's toys the last time we moved was tramatic for her so I'd do that while they aren't there or are napping.
