Taking Back Halloween

I tried to convince my family into doing matchcie Halloween costumes and... was unanimously vetoed.  Trying to convince my daughters and husband to dress up in a costume of my choosing triggered a series of flash backs ( here and here ) resulting in the quick decision to take them to the Halloween isle in walmart and choose whatever they wanted (within reason).


Since I didn't have to worry about coordinating our costumes, I decided to spend the time and moola   on my costume.  What I did not expect was to be shown up by my typically reserved husband.

His costume took a fraction of the time and was recognized by most, while I had to correct/explain who I was multiple times throughout the evening.

The moral of the story is...  "This mofo knows not to mess with Sir Joseph Dirt. "
